ILWU Local 9

An Injury to One is an Injury to All

Union History

Local 9 of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union is one of the original locals that split with the International Longshoreman's Association in 1937, and has a long, proud history of activism on and around the Seattle waterfront.  We are currently working with the UW to make some of our archives available in the Labor Archives of Washington, please check back for updates on our archival work!
